Students are the future of our profession, but they are an even more meaningful voice in our advocacy efforts right now.
Led by PT and PTA students, APTA’s Flash Action Strategy rallies our community around important issues affecting our profession and the people we serve. The Issue: The Allied Health Work Diversity Act
By providing colleges and universities funding to attract and retain students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds, this legislation would provide scholarships and stipends to accredited higher education programs to recruit qualified individuals who are from underrepresented backgrounds, including students from racial and ethnic minorities, persons with disabilities, and students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in the professions of physical therapy, occupational therapy,
