General Information

The following courses are unsatisfactory: Inservice education, on-the-job training, "experimental" courses and short conferences including "overview approaches to numerous unrelated topics." Continuing education activities that involve less than 10 contact hours of instruction will be evaluated carefully for merit as a significant learning experience. Only complete instructional hours are considered in assigning total CEUs. Fractions are disregarded.

According to the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners, Licensees are not required to take courses that are only on the "Approved" list. Please review the regulations

Licensee must have earned the 3.0 CEUs for a PT, or 2.0 CEUs for a PTA.
1CEU = 10 CE hours (0.1 CEU = 1 CEU hour)

CEUs will not be required if your license was issued one year or less before the renewal period.

Do you have questions about ceu requirements? CEU regulations are online - All your questions can be answered by simply reviewing the regulations.

If you fail to renew your license by its expiration date, you may be eligible for Reinstatement but only by meeting all requirements.
