Goal: provide members with consistent access to updated payment policy, payment education resources and advocate with insurers for maximum financial sustainability of the physical therapy profession, specifically in the state of Maryland.

Committee Activities:

• Serve as a resource and provide support to the membership in understanding and utilizing the Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.
• Promote resources available to members through the chapter website, newsletters, and meetings.
• Identifying trends and issues with insurers for potential advocacy, legislative or regulatory action.
• Addressing relevant issues and trends (state/ national) affecting payment of PT.
• Identifying potential changes/evolution in the payment environment and recommend techniques, positions or policies to promote changes that will benefit PTs and PTAs
