Call for Chapter Delegate Candidates for 2023 House of Delegates

The Chapter Nominating Committee is issuing a call for candidates for Chapter Delegates/Alternates to the 2023 and 2024 APTA House of Delegates (HOD). Members wishing to be a candidate for Chapter Delegate are expected to make a commitment of two years and attend each of the House meetings, as well as the delegation meeting held in advance of each House. 

The APTA of Maryland delegation includes the Chapter President and Chief Delegate, along with 6 delegates. The Chapter also has one official Alternate Delegate, along with other backup alternate delegates; they are elected in the Fall. >> Learn More

The House of Delegates is an APTA policy-making body comprised of voting and non-voting chapter delegates. The House meets annually during the Leadership Congress.

It includes a  virtual meeting July 30th for national elections. The virtual meeting will occur between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. ET, with a break from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. ET.

The House will continue Aug. 14-15 with in-person meetings at the APTA Leadership Congress.

About the House:

Any APTA member with a current membership card or with a pass obtained onsite from a student House usher may attend the House by sitting in its gallery (an area behind the ropes of the House proper).
