On Sunday, August 23rd, from *10:00AM to 3:00PM, they will be distributing 100,000lbs of groceries to thousands of families throughout our region.
Communicate your availability so that you can be scheduled to serve at one or more of the available shifts. Positions Needed:
Set Up Crew 6:30-9:00 am - Set up all equipment and resources used to execute the serve.
PT Volunteer Roster – Add your name to a roster of PTs, PTAs, and students interested in helping if needs arise at a facility near you. Follow updates on this initiative by following #ptcovid19 on Twitter. A PTCovid19 website will be live soon. Note that facilities must request assistance prior to being able to match volunteers to specific needs.
PT Volunteer Roster sign-up for non-members – If you would like to encourage any non-member colleagues to sign up, please let them know that non-members must first create an APTA user ID on APTA.org before signing into APTA Engage.
Volunteer Needs for Facilities – Being able to match volunteers on the roster to local opportunities will be dependent on facilities letting us know their needs. If you know of a facility in need of volunteers, please direct folks to request volunteer assistance through the link on APTA.org. Please help spread the word in your medical communities!

Help inspire the next generation of physical therapy professionals. Connect at our annual student conclave by particiapting in our speed dating round robin. Connect with PT and PTA students to talk about what takes place in aquatics, peds, acute care, sports, cardio pulmonary, neuro, women's health, outpatient, oncology, home care, early intervention, art therapy, dry needling, dance therapy, and more. The event takes place as part of our annual conference and student conclave on November 5, 2016 from 1:15-5:30 at the College Park Marriott and Conference Center. Providing physical therapy services and supporting organizations that provide services to those without access to care for financial reasons, from a lack of availability of services, or in the event of a disaster are a moral and ethical obligation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants and for the well-being of society.
