APTA Maryland accepts applications for course sponsorship and is an approved provider by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. Note: Dry Needling applications are separate as they include addition education and training requirements. View approved courses: General | Dry Needling

Course Sponsor Application

  • Vendors can apply for course sponsorship from APTA Maryland as an approved provider by the Maryland Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
  • Approved courses will be listed on APTAMD’s Education Hub.
  • A vendor can advertise their approved course(s) through eblast and or mailing list rental.
  • The APTA Maryland Chapter will approve sponsorship for a period of four years. The vendor shall submit to the Chapter for approval any changes in speaker, content or length.
  • Sponsor application must be sent in at least six weeks in advance of the course date.
  • A fee of $100 per application will be charged. Vendors can pay online or by Check.

Dry Needling Course Sponsor Application

  • In Maryland, there are regulations pertaining to education and training necessary to perform dry needling.
    • The instruction required under §A(1) of this regulation shall be provided by a continuing education course sponsored by: American Physical Therapy Association; APTA Maryland; or The United States Armed Forces.
  • APTA Maryland will approve sponsorship for a period of four years. The vendor shall submit to the Chapter for approval any changes in speaker, content or length.
  • Sponsor application must be sent in at least six weeks in advance of the course date.
  • A fee of $100 per application will be charged. Vendors can pay online or by Check.
