Maryland Adverse Decision Workgroup News
In 2025, the Maryland General Assembly passed legislation requiring the Maryland Insurance Administration (“MIA”) and the Health Service Cost Review Commission (“HSCRC”) to jointly staff a workgroup to study the rise in adverse decisions in the state health care system.  The workgroup has met three times and a summary of those meetings is available on the payment and practice workspace.
