Who We Are 
APTA Maryland is a professional organization representing over 1900 members who are physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, and students. APTA of Maryland is a chapter of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA), a national professional organization representing more than 100,000 members. Its goal is to foster advancements in physical therapy practice, research, and education.

APTA Maryland fosters excellence in the profession of physical therapy by advocating, educating, and promoting best practices to improve the human experience of the diverse society we represent and serve.

The APTA Maryland continues to work on increasing member value and engagement, and implementing the Chapter's vision to empower the diverse communities in Maryland to advance health and wellness  by optimizing movement and function. We need a road map that provides the strategy to make a strong impact on the profession and society.    Goals
