  • Legislative Victories

The APTA of Maryland has been working hard to protect your scope of practice. The legislative session ended on April 10th. The recently concluded 2017 Session was a successful one for the Maryland Chapter. During the Session 2878 bills were introduced, and we reviewed - as did several of our members - each of the bills introduced. The key issues we dealt with were an expansion of the scope of practice of athletic trainers, and a workers' compensation bill that could have adversely affected payment of claims for treatment of an injured worker.
  • Get Excited! We Did It Again!

APTA of Maryland has joined forces with DC to bring you another A-mazing event. This Regional Annual Conference with more than 500 fellow Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants and students will gather at the College Park Marriott Conference Center to exchange best practices and establish new strategies that will help elevate the physical therapy profession.
