Student Conclave
This year’s Student Conclave was developed by the new Chapter Student Committee. Presentations focused on: the PT and PTATA relationship; life after school; the value of APTATA membership; and, how to become a leader within the profession.
Elections for the Chapter’s Student Delegate and Alternate Student Delegate were also held and you had to be a member of APTATA of Maryland to vote and to run.
Objectives
Upon the completion of the Conclave, students will:
- Be familiar with opportunities to advance within the profession and APTATA.
- Be aware of current legislative issues at the state and national levels.
- Understand the relationship between PTs and PTATAs in the workplace.
- Be aware of the opportunities for advancement by physical therapists and physical therapist assistants in different arenas.
- Understand the current position and future direction of the profession as it relates to Vision 2020.
