You will be able to set your own schedule while seeing both homebound and non-homebound patients. Allegany College of Maryland, a comprehensive public two-year institution, invites applications for a 12 month per year, tenure track faculty and Program Director position for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. The position is a combination director/faculty position, which includes responsibilities for program leadership and management and classroom/clinic teaching. The position is responsible for departmental leadership duties for the Cumberland Campus, as well as budgeting, curriculum development, supervision of faculty and staff, recruitment, scheduling classes, accreditation, and teaching. A minimum of a Master’s degree is required and the candidate must be eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Maryland. Five years of clinical experience is required. Effective leadership, management, and motivational skills, along with team building and effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Teaching philosophy must be based on learner-centered instruction. Ability to work with other departments, faculty, and staff to carry out the mission and goals of the College is required. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to conduct a teaching presentation. Salary will depend upon degree and experience. The starting date is negotiable.
