For physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, student physical therapists, and student physical therapist assistants.

APTA Life Member Application (.pdf)
For those who are 65 years of age or older and have completed at least 30 years of membership or who are no longer able to practice physical therapy due to a permanent disability and have been members for at least 2 years.

APTA Retired Member Application (.pdf)
For those who are 55 years of age or older, have completed at least 20 years of membership, and are no longer engaged in an occupation related to physical therapy practice, education, research, administration, or consultation, or in a position that requires physical therapy education or licensure/certification.

Faculty Partner Application (.pdf)
For individuals who are employed at a university with a physical therapy program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE), and who are not otherwise eligible for APTA membership. Applicants must be sponsored by an APTA member who is employed by the same institution.

International Partner Application
For physical therapists or physical therapist students who live in a country other than the United States and who are not eligible for membership in the American Physical Therapy Association.
